Strengthening Each Other

We believe that everyone has something unique to offer. We offer a variety of ministries and programs designed to help you grow in your faith and explore new possibilities.

    Ministries

We believe that each person, regardless of economic class, race, education level, gender, or age, deserves the respect and honor associated with the image of God they bear.

Because of this, we have many ministries that allow for all people to have a place to serve and be served by the church body. Check them out below!

    • Centerpoint Kids

Welcome to CPKids! Our goals are to…

Love. Our leaders – from the nursery ladies up to the 6th grade teachers – have a heart for the Lord and for the children in our care. It is our joy to serve these kids and to show them the love of Jesus!

Teach. Through carefully selected materials and curriculum, we open the Word of God and teach kids the truth of Scripture from the very earliest ages. We want them to know God through His Word.

Equip. As the kids move up through the programs here at CPKids, they will be increasingly challenged to take what they have learned and move it from the head to the heart to the hands.

Send. It is our hope and heart that the kids who graduate out of CPKids into the youth group and beyond are prepared with knowledge, faith, and skill, stepping forward in their lives with confidence in their God and courage in their faith.

    • Centerpoint Youth

In the Centerpoint Church Youth Group, we aim to give 7th-12th graders a safe, uplifting community to learn, fellowship, grow, and serve as they live out their faith in Jesus Christ.

Scripture. We gather every Sunday at 9:30 AM for solid, biblical teaching and every Wednesday at 6:00 PM for practical conversations about following Jesus. Our leaders love Christ and care deeply about discipling students.

Fellowship. From weekly dinners and pickup sports to silly game nights and meaningful camping trips, we provide 2–3 connection opportunities each week so students can enjoy and encourage one another alongside trusted leaders.

Service. We love to have fun - and we love to serve. Our annual calendar includes church workdays, food-packing for neighbors in need, thank-you card projects, and even missions trips. We want students to experience the joy and responsibility of serving others in Jesus’ name.

Join us! All 7th–12th graders are welcome on Sundays at 9:30 AM and Wednesdays at 6:00 PM.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions at youth@centerpointmesquite.org.

    • Women’s Ministry

The Women’s Ministry at Centerpoint strives to:

      Worship Together

We aspire to promote a lifestyle of worship in all areas of our lives.

      Strengthen Each Other

We aspire to have every woman learning the word of God through coordinated Biblical education.

We aspire to have women serving each other and the church body by the use of their gifts and skills.

We aspire to have a leadership team of women (under the blessing and oversight of the elders) who provide respected servant leadership. They are continually mentoring and encouraging each other as well as developing potential leaders.

We aspire to have activities that promote the experience of fellowship, family, and love.

      Share With Our World

We aspire to have a deepening passion for missions.

We aspire to have creative outreach strategies designed to impact our community.

We aspire to have discerning efforts to integrate visitors into our church family.

    • Men’s Ministry

The Men’s Ministry at Centerpoint is all about strengthening each other in Christ and living out our faith with integrity. We believe that every man needs other men to walk with, encourage, and challenge him, and every man is called to actively live out his faith as he follows Jesus Christ.

Through Bible studies, men’s breakfasts, retreats, and serving in our community, Centerpoint offers opportunities for real relationships and real growth. Together, we’re sharpening one another as “iron sharpens iron,” and building each other up to be men who love God, love our families, and impact the world for our King as we lead others to follow Jesus.

Please contact our Associate Pastor of Community & Outreach, Stephen Winham, with questions about how to get involved.

    • Sunday School

Weekly Sunday School classes, from 9:30-10:30am, provide the opportunity for believers to dig deeper into God’s word together to equip you to become developing, mature disciples for Jesus Christ.

Adults of similar ages, interests, and/or family dynamics meet for interactive Bible studies and connect for fellowship and ministry. Whether you are single, married, young, or a senior adult – Centerpoint has classes for every stage of life.

      Faith for Life
Faith for Life Adult Bible Fellowship exists as a diverse community of worshipers, unified by faith in Christ, committed to sharing life experiences together. Each week, we discuss the intent and purpose of a biblical text (often the previous week's sermon text) but focus on application. We believe that unpacking the text together within the community of faith provides an opportunity to strengthen our relationships and gain insights from the text that we might not have reached in isolation to strengthen our commitment to Jesus Christ in submission to God's Word.

      Foundations

The Foundations Class is a Sunday morning class for adults who want to explore and discuss a wide range of biblical topics. Together we look at things like the nature of Heaven, how our faith shapes everyday life and work, apologetics in light of cultural conversations, and how to navigate suffering with hope. Our goal is to build a strong biblical foundation in both the mind and heart, while fostering friendships and meaningful discussion around tables. Whether you’re brand new to the faith or have been walking with the Lord for years, you’ll find this class both welcoming and engaging. And from time to time, we enjoy breakfast together as well!

      The Fellowship Class

We are called the Fellowship Class because we consider each other family! We strive to pray for each other, build a biblical worldview into the lives of our participants, and see that worldview translated into a Great Commission lifestyle. We are a group of all ages, meeting in a teaching and discussion mode to better understand how the Bible enables us to lead faithful, productive and fulfilled lives for a lifetime. Our overarching goal is, to borrow a phrase from Howard Hendricks, “God didn’t give you His word to increase your knowledge, but to change your life.” We hope you can join us!

    • Small Groups

Small groups are greenhouses for discipleship. Christlike maturity develops in fellowship with other believers. Centerpoint members regularly gather to share testimonies of God's faithfulness, discuss Scripture, pray for one another, and tangibly meet one another's needs. Simply, small groups gather to rejoice with one another, weep with one another, and love one another so that we might grow to reflect and share the love of Jesus Christ with those around us.

    Outreach

Centerpoint does not exist only within the walls of the building. We desire to minister to those who are outside the church in our own community as well as our member’s communities and around the world!

    • Missions

We are honored to participate in the spread of the Gospel to every tongue, tribe, and nation by sending and supporting missionaries around the world. Click below to meet them!

    • Soccer

Centerpoint Church’s Soccer Ministry uses the game we love to build relationships, cultivate community, and point people to Jesus Christ. Each Friday night, 15–20 adults come together in our gym for friendly but competitive soccer in a fun, safe, and welcoming environment.

About halfway through the evening, we pause to share a short devotional from God’s Word and pray together before finishing the night with more soccer. Whether you’re looking for exercise, friendship, or a place to explore faith, Friday Night Soccer is a great place to connect.

    • Coffee & Donuts

A few times throughout the year, Centerpoint Church hosts a simple but meaningful outreach right in our parking lot: free coffee and donuts for anyone passing by. With a warm smile, a hot cup of coffee, and a sweet treat, we hope to offer more than just refreshment…we want to show the love of Jesus in a practical way.

These moments give us an opportunity to connect with our neighbors, encourage meaningful conversations, and share a little about who we are as a church. Whether someone stops for a quick cup or stays to chat, our desire is that every person leaves knowing they are valued and cared for.
