We think of Jesus of Nazareth when we think of the cross. History has recorded the identities of very few people who were crucified. For the most part, we can identify them only by group or class. But we know so much more about Jesus than just his name. What does it mean that this One whom we call Christ and Son of God was crucified for us? The events described in Luke 23:32-49 give us a glimpse into this mystery and what it means to our lives.
