Sermon: A Heart Check Up

Posted by in Sermons

We all know how important it is to take care of our physical hearts.  In fact, it can be a matter of life or death.  Solomon tells us in the book of Proverbs that it is even more important to take care of our spiritual hearts.  But how do we know if we have a healthy spiritual heart?  In our passage this morning, Solomon is going to run us through three tests that will reveal the health of our spiritual hearts.          Proverbs 4:20-27

Posted by in Sermons

C.S. Lewis concluded that the world rings with praise: Lovers praising their spouses, readers their favorite poet, praise of the weather, meals, actors, colleges, mountains, etc. But what if we realized that every one of those things enjoyed is but an expression of God’s essential character, one to whom we should give unending praise?          Psalm 8
