Sermon: Hell–The Horrifying Truth!

Sermon Series: Origins and Destinies

” Hell–The Horrifying Truth! ”

No one wants to imagine the characteristics of a place where God’s wrath is poured out. It is almost unimaginable! Yet, the Bible will not let us close our eyes and shut out the horrible reality of hell. This morning we examine the destiny of those who will miss heaven and how God wants us to respond to the reality of hell.

Sermon: How Many Eyes Do You Have?

Sermon Series: Origins and Destinies

“How Many Eyes Do You Have?”

Our salvation in Christ is irrevocable. We are saved by grace, through faith in Christ alone. We are not saved by works. Yet the New Testament writers frequently reference the reality of “rewards” given to believers in the life to come. This topic is both comforting and condemning. It is encouraging to know that God sees everything, and will acknowledge His children’s unseen acts of faithfulness. However, the prospects of giving account for missed opportunities and faithless deeds can be haunting. How should we approach the reality of “rewards” and how should it motivate us today? We will explore 2 Corinthians 5:9-10 to gain more understanding into this important part of our destiny.

Sermon: What’s so great about Heaven?

Sermon Series: Origins and Destinies

“What’s so great about Heaven?”

We’re growing older whether we want to admit it or not. The years roll on relentlessly. Death stalks and claims its victims with regularity. All of us have grieved the loss of loved ones and in time, if the Lord tarries, we too will stand at death’s door. As believers in the gospel of Christ we cling to heaven for hope, but what does that hope look like? Is heaven really worth looking forward to? - Matthew 25:31-40

Sermon: A Mustard Seed on Steroids

Sermon Series: Origins and Destinies

“A Mustard Seed on Steroids”

We have been waiting and waiting for a world of justice, joy, and peace – a world where the rule of God makes everything right. But where is this kingdom of God? Waiting for it is hard. Jesus explained that His kingdom today is so small that we can barely see it. But one day, it certainly will be much different. On that day, the kingdom will be so big, you can’t miss it! Mark 4:26–32
