No one wants to imagine the characteristics of a place where God’s wrath is poured out. It is almost unimaginable! Yet, the Bible will not let us close our eyes and shut out the horrible reality of hell. This morning we examine the destiny of those who will miss heaven and how God wants us to respond to the reality of hell.

Our salvation in Christ is irrevocable. We are saved by grace, through faith in Christ alone. We are not saved by works. Yet the New Testament writers frequently reference the reality of “rewards” given to believers in the life to come. This topic is both comforting and condemning. It is encouraging to know that God sees everything, and will acknowledge His children’s unseen acts of faithfulness. However, the prospects of giving account for missed opportunities and faithless deeds can be haunting. How should we approach the reality of “rewards” and how should it motivate us today? We will explore 2 Corinthians 5:9-10 to gain more understanding into this important part of our destiny.

We have been waiting and waiting for a world of justice, joy, and peace – a world where the rule of God makes everything right. But where is this kingdom of God? Waiting for it is hard. Jesus explained that His kingdom today is so small that we can barely see it. But one day, it certainly will be much different. On that day, the kingdom will be so big, you can’t miss it!
